| Local Governance and Development Journal
The Aim of the Local Governance and Development Journal is to serve as a forum for exchange of ideas, opinions and research findings so as to promote and enhance participatory governance for social accountability. In line with the practice in the field of local governance and development, the journal is multi-disciplinary in nature and seeks to promote the interchange of ideas amongst practitioners, researchers and academics in the region. The journal is both a medium and forum of knowledge exchange on issues and opportunities in the development and management of urban and rural local government in Africa.
The journal will be produced bi-annually, in June and December. It will have sections on scholarly articles, country reports and opinions, book reviews and recent publications
