Background

The Africa Social Accountability Action Forum (ASAAF) is an initiative managed by the Municipal Development Partnership for eastern and Southern Africa (MDP-ESA) and funded by the Social Development Department (SDV) of the World Bank. The overall objective of ASAAF is to enhance governance and accountability mechanisms by means of empowering citizens, particularly the poor, to actively participate in the formulation, execution and evaluation of public policies and budgets.
